After Half-Term

Hi all,

Just thought I would bring your attention a bit of important information:

After the holidays your school reports will be open and you will be undertaking mock exams in all subject areas. I will run 3 lessons preparing you for the mock exam  but basically I would recommend taking your A4 folders home over the half-term and looking at the functions of ingredients etc. Also use the following links as part of your revision:

The exam is nothing to worry about but like with everything...you get out what you put in!

Any problems please shout!

Deadline: Friday 24th May

Hi all,

With a deadline approaching, I just wanted to make it clear what needs to be in your folder at the end of this term...(Friday 24th May)

  1. Design Ideas- 2 sides of A3 containing 12 design ideas which have been fully annotated and must include how the product meets your design criteria. Powerpoint Design Ideas
  2.  Practical Write up for ONE of your practicals e.g. Lemon Meringue Pie, Quiche etc. Powerpoint Practical Write Up

If you are worried you will not meet this deadline then you need to arrange to spend time, either at lunchtime or after-school, in T7 sorting this out or work at home! You have had plenty of lesson time so there are no excuses!

Feedback on Section 1

Hi all,

I hope you had a restful Easter break!

We have lots to do this term and I have provided you with the PowerPoint containing feedback to the whole class based on section 1. You will have been given a mark out of 8 and a letter will be going home to your Parents so they are kept in the loop!

There is also a list of available lunch-times and after-school sessions that will be running over the next few weeks for those of you who are behind, missing work, or those who want to improve your grade. Responsibility for attendance at these "catch-up" sessions is still currently up to you- but this will change if it needs to.
